So I have a couple of questions... Does anyone else have AT T Uverse and stream and whats your opinon or good/bad results that you hvae had it? I still have time to switch back to Time Warner however ATT overall works better and i would like to stick with them if i could but i have a issue and seeing if anyone else has this problem? Also streaming sometimes makes my internet completely blank out.

Everytime i start streaming my internet speed drops from 65-70mbs to 19-24mbps but my upload is still stable i talked to att and starting the stream is what causes the drop.

My settings are :

Encoding : 264 UCE CBR and CBR padding checked Max Bitrate 2500 Audio : AAC 128 Bitrate 48KHZ
Broadcasting: LiveStream Twitch / Justin TV US : Midwest Chicago I have it set to also record to file on my livestream
Video: GTX Gefore 670 FTW 1920x1080 16:9 Downscaling : 1.5 (1280x720p) Bilinear and at 30 FPS
Audio: Logitech G930 Headset for both Audo/Auxilary Audio
Advanced: Normal/ x264CPU Very Fast Encoding profile high Use CFR is checked everything else is deafult

Is there any possible ports that would need to be opened up to fix this flood? Thats one thing i know that could slow a connection.

Can anyone else think of what could be making this happen? I know i have it limited to only when im streaming

Please run us through the results you got for each of the troubleshooting steps listed in that thread. It's quite common for users to either skip steps or misinterpret their results from one or more steps, but still say "I did all that already, what now?"

Try changing servers -

I usually try and stream through the Chicago server in twitch. Tried SF, NY, and dallas all same result. Before i start the stream im at 55mbps/5 once i start 20-24mbps/5 same result no matter what server i connect through. Also my MS stays at 36 consistently through each server

Try lowering bitrate

I stay at 2500 everytime i stream. I tried 2100, 1700, 1500, and lower tiers 800,500,250. I first thought that this made a difference as when i went from 2500 to 2100 i went to 21mbps but after a couple of re-connects and re-tests it doesn't change it. Even at smaller rates

Don't stream over wireless

I am a hard wire connection

Try another streaming service

Tried with hitbox.tv encoured the same problems as before

Check for throttling

DiffProbe release. January 2012. Build 1008.
Shaper Detection Module.

Connected to server 38.106.70.162.

Estimating capacity:
Upstream: 5705 Kbps.
Downstream: 49499 Kbps.

The measurement will take upto 2.5 minutes. Please wait.

Checking for traffic shapers:

Upstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 5600 Kbps.

Downstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 48533 Kbps.

Check your firewall/router/antivirus

Already disabled all firewall settings in the modem, I also disabled the packet drop features in case it would conflict with packets coming and going. I also have 1935 open as previously stated, Antivirus is off as we..

Speed tests

Consistent through each time. When stream is off 60-75mbps high 45-55 low averages. Upload is always 5. Always done through speedtest.net

Update Network Driver

All drivers are up to date

Bad Router

Don't use any other hardware besides the modem. It is the best model for att and it doesn't have any problems outside of streaming

Thanks for providing the info,

To be sure, a logfile would provide some extra information to see what could be happening.
But if that log also shows nothing; it's more then likely that you can not do much about this issue.
With that i mean that that problem is probably located outside your netwerkconfiguration.

Well the log shows that you are dropping frames, witch indicates an unstable connection.
Hmm the only thing i could think of is that you could try and replace your network cable for a different one to see if that helps.
But if it doesn't make any difference then i would suggest to contact your ISP to see what is going on.

It almost feels like some shaper thing is going on but your tests shows that that isn't the case.
Perhaps someone else has an idea about what's going on but with this information i can only suggest you what i just say'd.
