Question / Help Streaming with 1 monitor - layers

Hello dudes!

I've been streaming for a while, but atm my stream is very stale, since I only have 1 monitor, which I think is somewhat an issue since it makes it harder to make fancy things on the screen.

My question is about layers, that's at least how I would describe the issue.

I don't really want a second monitor, but I would like to have a keyboard on the screen, showing the keys pressed, as shown in this following picture:

As soon as I go into the game, the window with the keyboard becomes a small part of the game screen instead of the keyboard window.

It does this kind of thing with many things that I try, if I want part of a window to show (fx twitch giveaway plugin screen) and other stuffs too. Is there any sort of way that I can make it work like a game capture, so the parts stay "on top" like the game capture always does?

First of all, make sure Aero is active if you are on Windows 7. Without aero, windows that are in the background are not rendering and cannot be captured so an overlapping window might appear on stream.
Second, make sure your game does not run in fullscreen mode. In many cases this will also stop background windows from rendering. If you run the game in window mode though, everything should work. (Assuming you have aero on :))
