Question / Help Streaming PC

Hey everyone.

I've been streaming for a while now, but new games are hard on my grey n' old desktop.
I want to lower his stream stressing by using a two pc streaming setup. This will also allow me to stream Playstation content.

Gaming PC [my desktop]
CPU: Quad-Core Q6600 @ 3.0GHz
MEM: 8GB DDR2 800MHz
GPU: Radeon HD7770 1GB DDR5
DSK: Plextor M5 Xtreme 250GB

Streaming PC [my laptop]
CPU: Dual-Core 2.2 GHz
MEM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
GPU: Intel HD 512MB DDR3
DSK: some Samsung HDD

Capture Card [haven't bought yet]
Hauppauge HD PVR 2, I chose this card over Elgato's mainly because this card is less stressing over the Streaming PC. It has lower system requirements then Elgato Game Capture HD.

Internet Connection
Downlink: 100mbps
Uplink: 7mbps

I don't have enough money for a new gaming pc yet.
The idea is to buy a capture card to stream some Playstation content (using the Gaming PC as streamer) and use the Streaming PC to have less impact over the Gaming PC while I'm playing... pc games.

Anyone has any idea if this is going to work? I'll be happy with 720p @30fps for now.

Best regards

Before you buy anything, run OBS on your Laptop and let it record the desktop in 720p, check the CPU usage and if its possible at all. Dualcore CPU's are not really perfect for streaming, but since its a dedicated system, it might work.

i have the feeling that this is some intel core 2 duo txxx

they really struggle with encoding since they already start dying when watching streams (the flashplayer sturggle is real)
