Question / Help Streaming PC Setup - will it work for me?

Hey ,
Recently i thought about trying to get my old computer (E6600 OC'd to 3.2ghz) and buy capture card so i can pull off CPU usage out of my gaming PC (Currently using 2500K OC'd to 4.2Ghz).
Now my question is will it work for me,should i go for it? since old computer CPU is pretty old but i wonder if it can hold as being streaming PC alone...i'm having some CPU overload issues with my current gaming (which also serves me for streaming).
Current profile - veryfast preset with normal priority.
Or should i go for some serious CPU upgrade on my current gear.
Since my upload speed limits my bitrate to 2000 in OBS while streaming 720p30fps.
When trying to stream 720p60fps CPU gets overloaded pretty often (game depended of-course).
If you do suggest me to use the old PC as streaming, what capture card would you suggest?

If your laptop has USB 3.0 ports, it might be ok. If only USB 2.0, then don't bother. But even that laptop is pretty slow, the only reason it might work is because it can be dedicated to it.
