I got everything set up right. But the livestream freezes after 2 seconds every single time. What do I do? ):

Do you think you could post a log file of this issue? viewtopic.php?f=5&t=97

It usually just means your settings are a bit too much for you to handle, or something else is eating up your CPU.

You're using monitor capture with Aero enabled. You need to disable Aero if you want to use Monitor capture. Otherwise performance is destroyed.

Also, you have a really weak CPU. You will need to downscale by probably around 2.5x or 3x, change your x264 preset to ultrafast, and lower frame rate to 25fps.

Alright, I changed it to what you said. But, I can't find where to change the frame rate for the 25fps. Also, I tested it with 'preview stream' and the preview is just black with my cursor.

I really don't think your computer is strong enough. But in case I'm wrong:

Increase your downscale to decrease your resolution as much as it allows (Settings > Video > Resolution Downscale).
Decrease your fps further to 15 (Settings > Video > FPS).
Set your preset to UltraFast (Settings > Advanced > x264 CPU Preset).

Run it this way for 5 minutes and post a new log file from that attempt.

I'm not sure your video card supports Direct X 10 which is required for OBS, by the way.

What kind of computer do you have and who are you streaming to, by the way?

Edit: Unfortunately, your video chipset doesn't support Direct X 10:
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
http://www.nvidia.com/object/mobo_gpu_tech_specs.html

So I don't believe you can run OBS.

In the screenshot he appears to be using it without the DX10 error, so I don't think that's an issue. He just needs to lower his settings as low as they can reasonably go.
