Hi,
I'm really new to streaming and video encoding in general, but I'd like to stream a few games on Twitch in my free time. Currently I'm having issues with lots of dropped frames, and I've done a bit of research on some basic steps to improve my quality.
My current PC specs:
i5-4690k
GTX 970
16gb Ram
2x 1080p monitor
I'd like to stream with as little frames dropped as possible. If I have to lower the overall quality of my stream to achieve a smooth stream then I'm not too worried. Currently it's set to 1000 bitrate at 1080p30. x264 cpu setting is at the default, and I reside close enough to the Chicago twitch servers. I'd like to stay at 720p30 but if it's not possible then I can adapt. Any and all advice is appreciated.
