Question / Help Streaming Assistance Needed

Hi all,

I've just recently started live streaming with OBS and on Twitch.

My live stream is around 8-10 seconds behind what I'm doing, both video and with the audio. I've had to put my bitrate to 282 and very low resolution, and yet my live stream is still very laggy and not enjoyable to stream or to watch. I only stream turn based games really, but it does include a 3D match engine at times (Football Manager 14). I have a wired connection. Upload speed is relatively slow.

Here are my PC specs:

AMD A8-4555M APU
Memory 8gb
Hard drive 1TB
Graphics card - AMD Radeon HD 7600G

Any help/advice would be much appreciated to improve my live stream.

The delay is due to the server -> viewer delivery, so it's not caused by anything that you're doing. That bitrate is way too low. Do you not have very much upload bandwidth?

Yea Jim is right, 8-10 seems actually very low for twitch, currently 20-30 seconds is normal on their video system.
But can you post us a log file so we can see what settings you are using, and of course answer Jims question!

For the logfile, in OBS select Help > Log Files > Upload current/last Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here. Probably last log file when you tried streaming would be best.
