Hello dear OBS community and first and foremost thank you for this great program and my regards to the developers for the excellent job they are doing,I have various questions and I`d like to get them answer if anyone is free my questions are as follows.

I am planning to stream for 48 hours ,when a new server will launch (WoW server running on a 1.12.1 patch) and I have been doing few test streams however I want to stream in 480 p but just can`t figure how to set everything my current internet speed is

And my pc specs are

System Model : Dell Inspiron N51010
Processor : Intel(R) Core (TM) i3 CPU M380 @ 2.53 GHz (4CPUs) ~ 2.5GHz
Memory : 2048mb RAM
Display : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650(Aprox total memory 1747 MB) /w Current display 1366x768

I am not really a tech savvy (Hardware) guy but I would like to see if I can somehow improve the quality while streaming 480 p and which settings I should change in OBS.

My current settings are

ENCODING

Encoder x264
USE CBR (YES)

Max Bitrate(kb/s) - 1000

Enable CBR padding (Yes)
Custom Buffer Size (NO)

Audio Encoding(Its` disabled) because I`ll only stream gameplay with chill music etc.

VIDEO

Video adapter ( ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650)
Base Resolution (Custom : 1280x720)
Resolution Downscale (1.50 852x480)
Filter: Bicubic sharper (Good detail , 16 samples)
FPS 25
Disable aero (YES)

A sample how it looks like

Can you give me any tips on what to change etc?

Also will it be viable to stream with my current pc settings? I know they are kind of low :P

More bitrate. you probably could raise your bitrate and maybe try quicksync instead of CPU. if I were you, I would use quicksync with 720@30fps 3200bitrate. stream quality should be a lot better.

dont use x264 with that setting though as your i3 will not be able to keep up.

quick sync needs more upload speed for the same quality but it looks like you have the upload speed so use it!

Well I just went over to the Quick Sync encoder and I was not able to edit anything so blah, however In the encoding settings I did raise my bit rate to 2000 and now I think the quality is alot better

What do you think? Is that the maximum I can get with my current specs without hindering my gameplay?@dping or anyone else :P

you could squeeze it up to 2500 or even 3000 but follow what your viewers say. I personally think it looks great as you have it now.
