Question / Help Stream quality with LGHD

Hey Guys,

What video quality should I expect when using a 2nd PC to stream? I cannot get anywhere near the quality of a single PC (and that isn't good yet). Through the capture card the colours are washed out/distorted and video is very blurry.

I'm using i7 3770k@4.4ghz and an i5 3570k@4.1ghz, a GTX680 and a GTX760 with 16gb of 2400 in i7 and 16gb of 1600 in i5. I've used each GPU with each CPU to stream with.

My connection is 60+ Mb and 15+ Mb

Any ideas or do I have a duff capture card?

Thanks.

If he has a capture card already, why use an RTMP server?

Can you please post a log?

You should lower the resolution of your webcam, as that is causing some slowdowns.

Other than that, things look more or less fine...Can you post videos from both this setup and a single PC recording you did to get an idea of the difference?

I honestly see very little difference between the two videos. You'll get slightly muddier colors out of the LGHD due to color space conversion but that's normal.

On a side note you should swap your CPUs (put that 3770 in your streaming PC), games don't really benefit from hyperthreading but video encoding certainly does.

Thanks for checking them out.

I've tried swapping the CPUs and GPUs but all combinations ended in the same stream qualities/differences. The difference in hardware performance wasn't big as I had expected.

Would using a RMTP server give me a stream that looks closer to the game?

Is the SC-512N1-L as easy to use as the LGHD?

Thanks again.
