Question / Help Stream Picking UP Desktop PC Audio!?

Ive been told that my streams on Twitch of my Xbox 360 game play have been also outputing audio from my desktop on my PC such as MSN Messenger noises etc. What option do i need to change so the stream doesnt broadcast audio from the PC and only audio from the xbox 360?

Right click the capture device you're using for your xbox and head to properties. make sure to choose "Use device audio" and select "Output audio to stream only". Once you've done that click "Ok". Next just mute all windows audio by clicking on the speaker symbol right above the "Start streaming" button.

When done correctly the stream should only hear the audio from your xbox and your microphone

Thanks for the reply. I dont see the "Use device audio" option but the "output audio to stream only" is already highlighted, i had able to mute the windows audio by clicking the speaker above the 'start stream button' as youu suggested. The thing is, i want the game audio coming through my mic headset speakers but i appear only to be able to do this if i tick the 'Output audio to desktop' in the capture device settings within OBS, if i do this then the game sound comes through my headset speakers but so does windows desktop audio as well which i do not want, if i click the speaker above the start stream button in this mode then it just kills all audio and nothing is recorded/streamed.

Is there a way to get the capture audio coming through my headset speakers whilst filtering out any desktop sounds that might happen during recording/streaming?

If you want to stream some, but not all of the windows sound you'll need a program like Virtual Audio Cable or VB-Cable.

Should i need such a program though. The audio is coming straight from capture device, so why cant i just output that to the headset speakers?
