Question / Help Stream perfect in LoL, but not other games?

Hello all,

First time poster, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating an already answered question.

I have been streaming for a little over 7 months now on and off, have tweaked my OBS settings multiple times, and finally found settings that work great with my setup, and my upload speed.

When I stream League of Legends I get absolutely no frame drops. It's incredibly rare if this happens. In the past also, I played Path of Exile and streamed that with no problems at all. Looked incredibly smooth, and never dropped any frames.

I recently returned to Path of Exile since it's officially out now, tried to stream it last night, and oh my god the frame drops. I watched the number rise incredibly fast every time I tried to start up my stream. Same thing with Hearthstone. Recently received a beta key, installed it last night, and crazy frame drops for that as well. The ONLY thing different I have done since the last time I streamed PoE is I have two video cards now which I crossfire. I'm just wondering why LoL is still flawless, but every other game I try is awful looking? Has anyone else experienced an issue like this? Has anyone ever had their crossfire enabled cause a problem with streaming? Also a side note the frame drops are just for streaming (the high drop frame count in the bottom right of OBS). My games do not lag at all and my fps in game never falls.

Any info will be greatly appreciated, and again I'm sorry if I am bringing up an old topic.

Thank you for responding. I am currently at work, but when I get home in a couple hours I will post my log from last nights attempt to stream both games.

Frame drops are almost always network-related issues, not local system.
Be aware that Twitch has been messing with their infrastructure A LOT over the last week or so, and many streamers are seeing MASSIVE drop-spikes out of nowhere, along with disconnects and other issues.

That said, crossfire-mode is a known problem-causer for just about any livestreaming software.
Do run a 6MB test at http://www.testmy.net/upload though, to confirm your actual constant throughput. You may also just be experiencing a service level drop or low-point. We'll be able to tell more once the log has been posted.
