Stream is losing time, no dropped frames

Hi

I’m just looking for some help please. I have set up OBS to do 24/7 livestreaming to youtube from an IP security camera. Problem I have is random losing of time and I can’t work out why. It usually loses time within the first 48 hours of running, often overnight, I’ll wake up and the stream will be an hour or more behind.

I’ve followed a few tutorials now and tried doing everything I can to make the stream stable. It is all hardwired to the router, I have lowered the quality and bitrate too.

Yesterday I ran stats and couldn’t see anything obvious there, no dropped frames, no skipped frames due to encoding lag but 70 odd frames missed due to rendering lag (over a period of about 24 hours or so)

While I am streaming with OBS I also have the same RTSP feed running alongside on some motion detection software, that software doesn’t seem to lose time like OBS ? This makes me wonder if it is an issue with OBS rather than the RTSP feed itself ?

Any help and advice would be most welcome, I’m a total newb first time user, steep learning curve so I’m hoping some settings changes may help, I just don’t where to start.

Logfile from the last attempt at running is below.

Similar issue here. Except I loose 3-4 hours after about 14hrs os streeming. If i reset the camera feed in the Sources box it resets to the current time but i can see right away that it's slower. ALso about 36% frames lost due to rendering lag.

Update.....I reset the steam and the Stats capture. The times is obviously slower on the feed output with no dropped frames at all.
CPU is running at between 9-13%. PC is running just fine.

Bob Staff please look at the output from the OBS Log Analyzer below..

WiFi streaming is inherently unreliable and may lead to issues. See if you can address the other issues identified in the analyzer output.

Hi

Thanks for this, sorry for such a slow response, been dealing with a family crisis. Just getting back online now tho and trying to sort this out.

So, I'm a total newb at this ! What do you mean the frame rates don't match ? Looks like the Contacam software is at 20.1 FPS and so is OBS ? The camera I am using can only do 20 FPS so will that be a problem ?

With regard to the record speed, what is this please ? I am not making any recordings of anything just live streaming to YouTube. Is there somewhere I can change the record setting anyway and should I change it to 1.29x instead ?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm just getting started and trying to learn.

Thank you for the reply. My first thought was the wifi, however watching the same stream on the camera's app on my phone is rock solid, and watching the stream on VLC on the same pc that OBS is running on doesnt loose time.
I didn't know about the log analyzer befor ethis post. I will look into the critical problem first. I will try to mute the audio from camera.
Update to follow.

I muted the audio from the camera and immediate improvement! I will double check in a couple of hours to see if it lasts.
Thanks again.
