Question / Help Stream is Choppy when streaming Dark Souls 2

Hi. I ran into a problem. I have a couple people that messaged me through my Youtube account and they wanted my to stream. I always use OBS for League and stuff, and it runs fine. When I tried to stream DS2, it was ok but had a choppy feel and wasnt smooth at all. I have a computer more than capable for handling this game. Can someone tell me the best settings for streaming DS2 given my specs?

Thanks in advance.

For now.

If that doesn't help, try changing your x264 CPU Preset to veryfast and your FPS to 30.

Your computer should have no issues with streaming DS2, as my computer doesn't have any issues streaming that game, and your processor is much better than mine.

In the log I read that you're using both Window Capture and Game Capture. Are you using them simultaneously? If so, just use one of those.

EDIT: Unless you're using the Window Capture for something else, of course!

Also, try using a faster CPU preset. You're using the 'Faster' profile. Try out the 'Veryfast' profile and see how that works.

The 'keyint' value seems off to me. Can you check your Advanced Settings? I'd like to know your Keyframe Interval setting.

Lastly, try enabling Windows Aero if you're using the Windows Capture method.

The Keyint is at 0

Hmmm. The log seems to be alright, so I'm going to have to let Dodgepong handle this. I have another question, though. What are you doing at the same time while you're streaming? Do you have any Twitch windows open that contain a Flash player, for instance?

I dont believe so. I have the chat windows opened so viewers can see the chat while I play. Does that count?

By the way, I tried streaming without it. It still had the problem :(

No, if it's just the chat, there really shouldn't be any problems. Flash tends to be very power-hungry, but if you don't have any Flash players open (that is, you're not previewing your own stream in a browser) that can't be the source of your problems.

In that case, I don't know. Actually, now that I think about it, are you using GeDoSaTo to render DS2 at a higher resolution? On my system that is particularly taxing.
