Hello, I'd like to start off by saying I'm not very good with computers :/. I've been trying to stream on twitch and my stream is Choppy and laggy, not only for me but for viewers. I've tried multiple youtube videos to compare my settings, I've looked all over forums and nothings helped. I've come to the conclusion that it's my internet. I should also mention I live in Newfoundland so I have no idea what Twitch server to select since I don't know whats closest to me (I know its something on the East Coast). I went to speed test.net and my Download speed is a 6.72 and upload speed is a 0.44. I know this Isn't good but idk what the average is, or what I need to stream. My ISP is bell aliant and we are paying for very good internet but those low life losers constantly downgrade it every few months and once we realize, we have to call and make them bump it back up. Like I said this is EVERY few months. So any help would be appreciated please.

at this point given your current upload speed i would recommend to think about anything else than streaming just to be honest

with 0.4mbit upload you can stream offline games (so you went have ping problems) but then again you would have to stream in a horrible quality.

i'd say you need at least stable 2.5 mbit upload to get a really good stream anything above is okay and anything lower gets into a hard to configure properly zone

Sapiens, just so you know: that isn't a proper link ;) I've seen you post the same wrong link in another thread. Is it perhaps some clever plan to try and make folks look for these things themselves? If only they'd read the stickies, eh? :')
I got tired of constantly digging up the link to that thread so I made a macro for one of the macro keys on my Logitech keyboard, but it appears that recently either Firefox or Xenforo has begun randomly crapping the bed if text input is too fast, causing it to skip characters.

Heh, good call. I check the forums here regularly, and every single time I just have to roll my eyes at the sheer inability of people to read. Stickies are there for a reason, folks.

Anyway, yeah. I completely skipped over the 0.4mbit upstream thing. Until you get a better connection, you can forget about streaming. You can still record locally, though.

Really sorry for posting this, right after I posted it I saw the sticky thread so sorry again. We are switching our ISP though so I should be able to stream soon enough.
