Bug Report Stream disconnects constantly after 2 hours

Pretty sure disconnections are on Twitch's end. I'm able to stay connected to SSH and IRC for days / weeks, but Twitch disconnects after several hours sometimes for no apparent reason. With XSplit you tend not to notice since it instantly reconnects.

Could we get a instant reconnect for OBS then too? I didn't run into this problem last night, but it's been happening the last few nights. The lowest I can turn it down to is 5 seconds before it retries. For me it happens around the 3 hour mark.

Or perhaps a longer timeout period (if this is being caused by a timeout and not a dropped connection).

I'll throw my two cents into this thread as well. The disconnections are getting annoying and it has been happening across all versions of OBS so far. You can see how random it is on my archive.

I will probably test XSplit tonight to see if this still happens, just to find out if it's twitch doing it or not.

I might also add that the logs show a normal disconnect from an encoder standpoint, as others have shown. :(

Mine don't happen as frequently, but I'm start to suspect this has to do with the connection timing out after Twitch misses a few packets. Since xsplit doesn't have this issue or if it does it covers it up enough so the stream doesn't disconnect.

Does anyone know if FFsplit has this issue? I haven't actually streamed with it long enough to find out.

Yeah, XSplit definitely did not have this issue for my cast this morning. 2.3 million frames encoded with 1820 dropped (from family hitting the connection here and there and maxing me out).

I sure hope we can figure this one out. Maybe even get more debug info out of the encoder to find out what might be sending the stop encoding signal. :(
