Stream Crashing

Hi there so I have been streaming on and off for a little less than half of a year now and I have noticed sometime around when I hit the 3-hour mark of my streams sometimes sooner sometimes later it just disconnects and my bitrate which I have set to vary just drops and goes to 0. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem or how to fix it?

Are you encoding using the AMF (AMD codec)? To which service? Sorry, but we know nothing about your environment.
Have a look in the forum, there are similar threads already to search for.

If your issue is indeed new, then post a log of your obs installation showing the issue.

Hey so I'm using the nvidia nvenc for my encoder, should I be using something else? I also stream to twitch, sorry for the lack of information given.

NVENC seems good. Even when you can stream over hours and your log doesn't consist signs of memory leaks.
So i think its related to twitch. You are not alone with this problem. Look for other threads here in the forum saying "can't reconnect", "drops to 0kbs" or something alike. Try to change twitch servers, but take fast ones only.
