Question / Help Strange screen? please help

Hey i am starting with youtube streaming but i wanna be prepared so i got my elgato and today i wanted to make a test-stream to see if everything was working good. i can't really describe whats wrong but yeah the picture tells more than words

so elgato working and on obs too just not the part of the screen i need

please help?

I'm assuming you are trying to do window capture of the elgato capture screen. you might have to play with properties of the source window, but this isn't a recommended method to use en elgato anyway. use video source capture for this.

alright i did use the video source capture but now its saying that there is no device. i tried to get on the 32bit version of obs because alot of youtube video's are saying that thats often the problem but even when i click to open the 32bit version it opens the 64 version? is there a way to get the 32 version ?

make sure you have any other capture programs closed.
