I am using LGP Stream Engine to capture console gameplay but if I need to change something while streaming it is impossible without crashing. The capture card is an Avermedia C875.

I had the same issue last year when I was using LGP and OBS quite often. Never found a solution other than setting up everything before I started streaming. Also when LGP is added as a source, same thing happened when I tried to adjust something with my Logitech G920 webcam. Without LGP on the scene I can set up the camera's properties no problem while streaming.

Now that I think about it, I might have found a workaround but I can't vouch for it - you'll have too try it yourself. Try disabling LGP pefore opening properties (untick on the sources list), enter the properties and re-enagle it on the scene. This might have worked for me at some point but I really can't remember now.

Not the most elegant way around it but that fix totally worked so thanks for the help. Hopefully the support for these cards get better but for now I can at least adjust my webcam and other stuff.

I will have to buy this device and see if I can replicate some time. It's actually one of the few devices I don't have at the moment. (I also want to get it working without the stream engine)

Hello thread, & Jim

Had some usb connection issues with my trusty Elgato, long story short- I just got the Avermedia LGP installed and finally figured out- now I am dealing with this issue of going into properties while it's in preview/stream mode-

Could anyone find a work around this problem?

Yeah sorry to keep beating a dead horse. Is there a way to do this without disabling the C875 before clicking properties? It's really annoying because I actually have to go as far as to reboot my machine after the failure because it will not re-open. Not even using the "Open as Administrator" option...

I'll have to try unchecking the box before clicking on my camera properties since I'm trying to adjust the chroma key on my camera which you MUST be in preview to do... otherwise you can't select the color you want to key out...
