Question / Help Static noise no matter what with HDMI audio

With my Avermedia Live Gamer HD i was experiencing crackling sound especially when firing up games. Really bad noise in the background.

My setup is consisting of two computers. HDMI between. Out from my graphics card to HDMI IN on the Live Gamer HD. Then i use Stereo Mix on my Asus Essence STX card which listens to my sound card.

Streaming my desktop the sound is fine in my headset, if i stop the music i can see OBS is still picking up noise. No mic enabled. Firing up games i can hear the noise very clearly.
So after buying two new HDMI cables, setting my Live Gamer HD long away from my graphics card in case of interference i was still having issues.

So i thought i would buy the Avermedia Extremecap U3 which is USB 3.0 so it would DEFINETELY not give me interference of any kind. Guess what? Still the same issues ..... My main computer is a big tower with watercooling, VERY clean and tidy so no chance of any interference. The sound card is half a meter away from the graphics card.

I am really at a loss here, all drivers are updated, firmware updated, cables changed, Still static noise .... Ive even matched the sound format so both are 16 bit 44000 Hz format. And 2 channel audio .....
Ive spent countless of hours troubleshooting this, and 250$ more on the Avermedia U3 to get rid of it but that didnt work ....... And both computers are running pretty high end sound cards. No DSP effect or any kind on any of them.

Do you experience the same issue when using onboard sound instead of your Essence STX?

Tested now with my integraded sound and pure silence, perfect quality. Seems its my expensive Asus Essence STX that is the problem. As soon as i turn on Stereo Mix i can hear the noise coming. Guess i have to make an RMA on it

Found a solution: Download and install the Asus Unified drivers instead. Its thirdparty drivers and choose in the setup the C-Panel install and select your sound card. That actually fixed the issue.

Which means its the drivers themself from Asus thats the problem. Unbelievable ....
