Question / Help Sound trouble when capturing

So I've been using OBS for a while and suddenly have run into this trouble that no matter what I'm capturing, the sound now goes out.

As soon as I press to stream or even preview stream, the sound immediately cuts out. Then comes back after anywhere from a few to thirty seconds, lasts just as long then cuts out again.

This happens only when I'm capturing a PC game, I can't capture Legend of Korra, Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac, anything. Its fine when capturing my PS3 or Wii U, but not PC.

This is a new problem I've never had before and none of the existing thread's solutions have worked for me.

I tried disabling all enhancements and unchecking exclusive mode. I also changed my headset port as well in case the pc thought it was being unplugged during it. This happens no matter how its captured. Whether its game capture or window capture or monitor capture.

Log thing, I think

Ok, so I have narrowed it down slightly more, and the issue only occurs when using the DS3 as a controller.

The problem occurs whether I start OBS both before or after plugging the controller in, same with the game, no matter what it only seems to happen with that. So no matter what, it happens if the ds3 is plugged in. Wouldn't be that bad but I need that controller for certain games that only work with 360 pads or similar.

I am currently using this wraparound for my ds3 to emulate as an xbox controller.

Edit: upon further trial land error, when I use the ds3 now the sound starts out ok for a few moments, then dies completely. no longer in and out. Tested with that wraparound, better ds3 and motioninjoy drivers.

And again, only lose sound when streaming, if I play using the controller without OBS its fine and the ps3 and wii u are fine as well through cap card into obs

Borrowed a friend's wired 360 controller, and that seems to be fine.

Sooo, its only with the DS3 that this happens.

Tips, hints, suggestions? (ones that could possibly make it work with ds3, not just "play with something else")
