Question / Help Sound triggers?

Lately I have seen some streams with sound triggers, on donators, or subscribers

My question is how do you get that to work?
I think it is nifty :)

Have you tried asking the streamer how they did it?

Speculation, they may be running a layer with a Flash file on it that watches a specific textfile on their system that gets updated when a new sub/follower is added, and updates on the fly, playing a sound and running an animation (with transparency?) any time it changes. You'd probably have to ask them about it though to get a definitive answer.
