Hello! First time poster, looking to play around with OBS more. I've been told a few times in different places that you can set it up so that OBS can only "hear" certain applications while recording/streaming, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to actually do it. Virtual Audio Cable was the first one I looked at and it appeared to work, but the full version is $25 and I'm not sure if I want to commit to it if I'm not sure that it's the solution I need. I also found an older thread here suggesting VB0-Audio, but I didn't want to necro it and wasn't sure if people were even necessarily still active from it. Does anyone have suggestions? Primarily I'd like to be able to mute Skype so I can hear alerts if needed without it interfering with the stream, but the ability to isolate just the game on stream would be useful as well. Any and all help is much appreciated, thanks in advance!

VB Audio still works. But it only works if you can configure the program to point at a specific audio device. If it only goes to the default device, then you can't split it out due to how the Windows audio subsystem works.
