Question / Help Sound issue, can't hear game audio

I've got an odd issue I haven't been able to solve. When I click stream or preview OBS still detects and records the game sound though I can no longer hear it.

I'm using a mixamp pro for audio connected by USB only, the system sound card is disabled. I've also tried Razer Surround as an audio source just to see if it made any difference and it didn't

Using OBS v0.638b
