Question / Help Sound doesn't work, i've tried everything.

obs does not capture any audio except for my microphone ( which doesn't really work it only outputs static but this is irrelevant probably )
specifically desktop audio.
I've tried:
  1. reinstalling and keeping user settings
  2. reinstalling and not keeping user settings and going to defaults
  3. switching my monitoring device in audio settings
  4. selecting Speakers ( 7.1 surround sound ) at Audio/Desktop1 ( the playback i always use )
  5. switching from mono to surround in Audio/Channels
  6. disabling all tracks except track 1 in advanced audio of Desktop1 audio output
  7. have all tracks enabled instead
  8. turned on mono
  9. tried all 3 monitor options in monitoring in advanced options
  10. going to windows mixer and pumping OBS audio up ( it was already up )
  11. disable windows audio ducking
  12. adding some filters to desktop 1
  13. disabling desktop 2
  14. switching to my non surround sound playback in audio settings
i probably forgot some, please help me
