Recommend setting your Volume back to 100% and your balance back to center.
I assume that when you are recording, your Mixer bars move when there is sound?
If you are trying to play back the recordings with Windows' default "Movies and TV" video player, missing audio/video is a well-known issue. Download VLC from VideoLAN and use that to play the files back.

Though, knock on wood, I've never had an issue on a clean Win10 system, to watch 720p or 1080p 30fps videos using M$'s native Media Player. Then again, I haven't played with tweaking much (if any) of the recording settings from defaults
