Question / Help [SOLVED] Trying to sort out OBS Settings on my new PC

It might be a preset with NVENC. key frame interval, aka keyint...

Oh its KeyInt! Could I add that to that advanced line in OBS somehow?

Looking at the log files I uploaded I got keyint of 250? What should that be set at? That was in the GPU encoded logfile btw, at least from what I can tell assuming I am reading it right.

yeah keyint -1 is basically disabled so no key frames. change the preset to another one and try again, and key frame interval in the advanced tab should be set to 2 (but sometimes NVENC presets overwrite.

When you say the Preset you are referring to the Fast/VeryFast/Superfast thing right?

I will see what I can find out tonight. Thanks for all the assistance man, I just want to get the best compromise between quality and file size to help with my uploads and keep my videos looking decent :)

No NVENC has preses in another tab. those presets dont apply to hardware encoders

Cool thanks. I am looking into using Handbrake to compress the video as that thing drops the video file size to about 25% of the original but with no visual loss.
