Hey guys, I wanted to try out quicksync as I've never done it before.
I got ASUS Z97-A motherboard with a i7-4790k and GTX 770.

The problems is not OBS related, but you got a lot of experience regarding this quicksync.

Anyway, the problem begins as soon as I enable multi monitor/gpu option in the bios. Saving changes and reboot makes the computer loop ininitly. bios screen -> loads for a second or two, then reboots. Doesnt even come to loading windows.. As soon as I disable the multi gpu thing in BIOS it works normally again.

I tried Auto, CPU and PCIE as adapter in bios, still the same issue. Also just updated to the latest bios and I'm having the same exact problem.

My screen is connected to the GPU (as I should right?)

Any of you got a solution? I'm sick of shit always not working...

Thanks in advance guys.

I've always just pointed people to google to get it setup in the bios. I dont think the multi monitor setting is the one to enable quicksync. if you can see the quicksync display adapter in device manager, you just need to add a "fake" monitor to it.

I had similar problems as i turned on qs for the first time. Can u adjust the ram to be used for ur igpu? On 1024 mb, my pc stucks on the manufactor screen. On 512 not. But between theese changes, i reset my bios to default settings for another reason.

Please note: change values in bios can bring more problems you want, if u don't know what u do.

I did google, a lot in fact. People say the option is called either IGPU or multi-monitor /whaterver on the onboard video settings in the bios. (Depends on bios and manufacturer)
And I don't have any quicksync display adapter, not even the built in HD graphics is installed as it's disabled in the bios. Installing the drivers gives error that system doesnt meet requirements, but that's because it's disabled.

Anyway and anyhow, I figured out the problem and a temporary non viable solution (for me). Windows doesn't boot for some reason when IGPU/Multi-monitor is enabled because I got a windows loader installed *cough*. Don't judge. When the infinite booting goes on, when the "_" blinking appears, spam ESC button, you will have multiple boot options, select boot/load windows without loader and bam, it works. Don't ask me why the boot loader breaks with IGPU/Multi-monitor on, as I don't know why.

Anyway, graphics device got detected, downloaded and installed the latest graphics drivers for it and finally, happiness. QS available in OBS!

Won't be using it doe as I don't want MS to detect invalid Windows, but I'm just happy that I got it working!

To all the people out there having the same issue with no found solution, its not your hardware, it's your windows loader!

PPS Will be getting W10, genuine. If the above talk of pirated copys/loaders is illegal, please remove it, but let the info be there. People might actually buy a genuine copy to make it work ^^

I did try Auto, 128 and 64 on the memory settings, still didn't work. (only tried those two as those are the ones I saw people use on google)

Thank you so much Tony32!!! I bought a new motherboard and ram, and this problem still persisted.

Then I followed your instructions, and BAM! Thanks a million!!!
