Software Update issues

Definitely a low brow first world problem of my own limitations - trying to update the software, and it basically tells me to shut down every single thing open in Task Manager (Win 10 64 Bit, part of the problem no doubt). Try to reinstall the software, get the same message, uninstall the software, get the same message. Go into Win File Explorer (which is useless junk, I know) and try to delete Obs folders from C:\Program Files and ever single one I get a message cannot, folder is in use. Although Obs is best software available for purpose (IMHO of course) just feeling like why does updating it have to be so complicated? Admittedly part of the issue is I'm OVER over incognito window user with too many tabs, so shutting down browsers is less desirable, although by no means untenable, just a minor inconvenience.

The updater does not require closing software, it sounds like you are trying to reinstall which cannot overwrite in-use files.

It is a known issue that many programs, seemingly especially ones that can touch the camera, can block install of OBS. Even if not actively using the camera. Just a few minutes ago I had to close discord before OBS would install the updated version.
