Question / Help Sniper Elite 3

Good afternoon!

I'm trying to record Sniper Elite 3 and it's not showing up in the dropdown in the game capture window even though all the other open windows and stuff is. I googled around a bunch and couldn't find anything about this happening so it's making me think I am doing something wrong but I have no CLUE what. Any thoughts?

Windows 7 - I saw this working in Windows 10...
OBS v0.655b
Sniper Elite 3 = current version off of Steam

Everything else is working perfectly with OBS (it's actually astoundingly good software...) and this is the first thing I have had not show up in the drop down. Not sure what to do. Any help appreciated.

I just fired up another game that OBS has worked on in the past, The Ship, as a troubleshooting step and it's not showing up, either. Looks like OBS will no longer record game windows for some reason...

As another troubleshooting step, I rebooted the machine. I refrain from doing this due to it's other roles, but I thought I'd give it a shot and, low and behold, it works again.

Quick question though, how do I change the file type of recorded files and the default location?

That's all done in the broadcast settings.

It is very much not recommended to save directly to mp4. The reliability of the file format leaves a LOT to be desired.
