Question / Help Slight lag in local recordings and live stream

I switched back to my Game Capture HD since the HD 60 is having audio issues and I'm getting a slight lag in video every minute or so... I'm using an intel core i7-4470k at 3.5 ghz with 16 gb of ram.

You have not explained your problem fully. What kind of video lag? Choppiness? Skips? And what kind of audio issues?

Also, if you're using USB capture cards they have a chance to desync themselves over time. Recording with them is fine, streaming with them is not always fine.

You're using the intel GPU to stream. That isn't really strong enough to stream games correctly. You should make sure you're using your dedicated GPU (if you have one) and if you don't buy one.

So the lack of GPU is making it choppy at points? Most of the articles I have read say that the haswell integrated graphics would be fine. Should I get something killer or just an average GPU? This is a dedicated streaming pc so that's all I'm doing on it.

You could buy something minimal like a R7 260 or a GTX 750Ti for ~$100 each. The GPU is probably the reason, yes.

Can you try playing something on that streaming PC? And see if something else is inherently wrong with it? Because otherwise your machine should be working perfectly. Can you post another log file too?

It works just fine with other recording software. I would much rather use obs if I can. I just don't understand what it could be.

The HD60 needs an update of the elgato software to work properly. They should be updating it this week or next.

I returned my hd 60, still using the old one. I've got it working now. I had it set to 30 FPS and I was playing Destiny which is a 60 fps game. I switched it over to 60 fps and everything is working fine now. I guess it was sending more frames than I was letting OBS accept?

Jim, is it possible for two elgato game capture (std) and a elgato game capture HD60 to work on the same i7 laptop. Windows 7 list them as separate cards in the Devise Manager. Both cards work fine individually butt not as a pair in OBS. I am have a video camera attached to each card. Also still awaiting and OBS update that support the new elgato software (configure). cheers

As far as I know, elgato does not support more than one device at a time and had no plans to change that. (Which is honestly really bad) OBS unfortunately wont be able to change that I assume.
