I want to layer in a skype caller next to my webcam on my stream, but the second I open another device or application capture... the video feed freezes until I alt+tab to the skype app. Is there a way around this?
Note that a webcam can only be used by one application at a time, so if you're trying to do a video call with your friend and add your webcam to OBS at the same time, you won't be able to do that.

Don't play a game in fullscreen, other windows stop being rendered if an application takes up the fullscreen. Most games have a borderless windowed mode that gets around this.
