Hey guys, my Y510p Lenovo went RIP last night, but I will be replacing HD and SSD and assuming that resurrects it, should i be ok streaming games on it? Ive tried streaming Blade and Soul on countless settings following many tutorials and reading forums but stream still lagged and kept loading like crazy ! (totally un-watchable and un-presentable) I was ok streaming creative though - after a bit of loading, I had huge delay but otherwise not much loading and all then it got stable and looked good. Dont ask what my OBS settings were because dead HDD and I really dont remember it and tried way too many. :(

he are my specs
  • Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p Laptop
  • Inter i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M x2
  • RAM 16 GB
  • Win 10, 64-bit
  • Upload 11.5Mbps
  • ping to nearest server under 35
ok, now assuming the above laptop should b able to stream games - am I killing the poor think slowly by making it work so hard?

I considered building a gaming/streaming pc but my budget is sad and that will have to wait for better days.
So I'm considering gaming on laptop - (which still runs stuff like BnS on all max settings just fine) and building a streaming pc BUT most I can spend on second streaming PC is around $1000 US - $1300 Canadian - that would have to include win oem and case - which seem like an impossible i7 build for me at that price. But hey, if anyone thinks that a decent decent i7 build is possible for that money and is bored enough to post the specs I would really appreciate it. I've been on laptops for the past 7 years so I have no idea whats going on in parts world anymore ;__;

in advance HUGE Thank You guys ! <3

dual GPU, you will need to use OBS studios and enable multiGPU in the game capture. other than that, a 720@30 stream should run fine.
