Question / Help Setup to stream lecture?

I want to stream (and save) lectures/seminares using OBS.

I want to operate it all on my own, no need of an extra person managing the stream.

I'm about to aquire hardware for this.

I'm thinking of one/two Logitech C920 (or equal).
I'm uncertain on the audio, I would like to be able to "run around" and using a wireless mic, connected to the computer.
I'm uncertain on the hardware, should I run this on my MacBook or should I set it up on some other hardware?

I want to display the slideshow on an external bigscreen.
Still using a set of scenes to decide whats streamed, individually setup, not depending on whats displayed on the bigscreen.

My experience this far is to record on desktop with a few scenes combining webcam and using my third screen as the area for what is being recored.

Any suggestions and/or things to think about, before I proceed?

Logitech C920s have problems when run in 1080p mode. I think its because of lack of bandwidth on USB 2.0. Usually setting them down to 720p or lower seems to fix people's problems. If you run two of them on the same USB connection, I'm not sure if the problem will be exacerbated or not.

OBS Classic doesn't run on Macs, you'll need to use OBS Studio (OSX version) for that. The support for that is in a different sub forum here.

Do test runs and look at the OBS logs to make sure problems haven't occurred afterwards. If you want to edit the recordings, make sure your test that the recordings work in the NLE you're going to use to edit them. The computer you use to run OBS needs a gaming-grade GPU, and (generally speaking) a dual core with hyperthreading (if Intel) or quad core (if AMD) minimally for recording / streaming mostly static content.
