Question / Help Settings i should use to stream CS:GO normally

Heya!
I'm having a bit problems. I used estimator to get settings imo, but still, it looks like it's too much.
I want to stream myself playing CS:GO. Ingame, i'm usually having about 90-175fps, which is not that bad.

Here is my setup:

CPU = Intel Core 2 Duo (2.40ghz - gonna oc it soon)
GPU = GTX650 (OC)
RAM = 3GB
OS = Win7 64bit

The CPU is rly old, gonna buy a new setup soon, but the main problem is, i'm obviously going to save for it, which will take a while, but still, i want to stream with what i have now.

sorry mate :/ just not going to happen with that cpu

csgo got a cpu base engine the level of downscale would be so huge that pokemon on an gameboy would look like next gen quality ... thats how hard it would be to stream with that cpu.


but you can stream your desktop or browser games but just not any pc game but your gpu is still decent tho

pretty much all you need is mainboard cpu and probably ram because your ram is most likely still ddr2

Well, yeah.
But when i stream CS:GO (aim, or just bots, not multiplayer), its okay, but when i join, it's madness.

Just to point 20mb/s down and 2mb/s up

okay lets see you really badly want to stream ... probably as soon as any of the mods hows up he will probably say the same but you could try some stuff ... its going to look horrible but its probably the best you can get out of that cpu.


so here we got.


since you got 2k upload

bitrate/buffer 1350
audio aac (can leave everything on default with audio)
cbr checked

3.0 downscale (640x360)
fps 20

cpu preset on ultrafast
actually uncheck the cfr since the option is still available even tho it should be default with the latest version

and pray to god that the preset change frees up cpu to give you more ingame performance

but then again noone probably wants to watch your stream with this quality anyway even with your current settings


you should also force your ingame fps to cap at probably 60 since its going to be pretty spiky with high and low fps

and 60 fps in csgo should still be playable

Okay, so i tried it.
I have stable FPS, but my ping is still ~80 and i lag alot.

Any tips?

If you're getting high ping, that means your stream and the game are competing too much for your internet connection. First try enabling "Minimize Network Impact" in Broadcast Settings, and if that still doesn't help, try lowering the bit rate that you are streaming at.

Thanks dodge, but still, i already checked that. It's on.

I'll try lowering the bitrate, it's at 1350 now, should i low it to ~1000?

Lower it until you stop getting ping spikes. Your video quality will be reduced, though.
