Question / Help Settings for 5820K

Hi all,

Im probably gonna try out my OBS for the second time, with a different machine.

I have read a thread with a similair question,however... the thread was 2 years old now.

So i figured im gonna repost a new one.


So what settings should i be using for my 5820K?
I guess streaming at 1440P is still not a thing right?
Most people set it to the source quality if not mistaken?

I have only have 200 Mbps connection, since my country sucks ass for internet...

Asus Rampage V Extreme.
Fury x
16GB GeiL DDR4
250GB samsung ssd evo
1440P freesync

I also have 6months free of xpslit.. but i thought obs was more configurable.

If you're using twitch and don't have partnership, 720p30 at 2000kbit is about the upper limit due to viewer server routing issues.

Having a high end i7 like the 5820k means that you have the processor speed available to go with a preset that is slower than the default of "veryfast" (slower presets use more cpu to increase the quality per bitrate ratio).
