Question / Help Setting stuff up

Hey OBS.

I've been streaming a bit since Xsplit was the hot potato.
I want to try to pick up again, but I'm a bit dazzled over the new information and program.

I've tried to read some guides here and there regarding setup, but I failed to set it up perfectly so far.

My system is:

CPU: i7 3770, not OC'ed. aka 3.4GHz
Motherboard: ASRock z77 4 Extreme
Ram: Kingston HyperX 2x 8gb. 1800 MHz
GFX: GeForce 970.

Internet: Using a (somewhat) shitty WiFi dongle, on my 40/40mbit.

I've tried using x264 but that makes my PC lag max. Like 20fps in WoW.
And using Nvidia NVENC, the quality is meh..

Could someone help me out, would be appreciated.

And if any other information is needed, don't hesitate asking :)
I havn't really been mingling too much with the different options in OBS, except clicked the "optimize" button on "Broadcast settings" for x264.

What _should_ yield best results? Game Capure or Monitor Capture?

The games that I mainly want to stream is LoL, WoW and CS:GO

Also atm I am streaming at 720@45fps.

Should I do 1080@30? Or 720@30? Or what should I be able to stream at, and still maintaining a relatively high standard for my ingame frames.

You have 2 options. Either lower your x264 preset to Superfast, or even Ultrafast, or switch to Quicksync encoding.
I would recommend 720p60fps. Or if the quality is not good enough for you, lower fps to 30.

you can find the logs in the help tab within OBS- log files, copy and paste it, i used pastebin to upload it here as it is too big to upload .

as long you have tried doing what you want to do with OBS and the problems arise, the logs will capture all the data in them and why/what is exactly the problem, then post it here and someone will check it out (hopefully) and tell you what the problem is if there is one...i think you gotta be a little bit patient for help sometimes as this forum is ran by volunteers...hope you sort it out
