Question / Help Server 2008 Q?

Do you have some issue with it? If you run server 2008, you could just try it.

Yup I do, that's why I ask. I wasn't sure it it works on Server 2008. When I press preview stream I get an error dialog box with the message. "Could not get DXGI adapter."

what do I need to provide to get help. Or is there a solution for the DXGI error

Yea, I've heard that before. Not sure what to suggest though. Have you run windows update as much as possible? And optional platform updates? Updated directx and everything as well?

Oh yeah, this is a current version. All updates and patches are as current as they can be, this is a live copy. DirectX? on Server? I'll try that, but that's kinda what I'm asking about, besides knowing if OBS is made to work with W2k8 R2, it would be awesome to have a list of prerequisites software wise. I'd hate to have to buy & build a 3rd PC just to use it as a dedicated streaming PC, it would be great to keep it all on my one (server) box.

TY (I'll let you know the results of the DirectX install)

Well if it doesn't work now it will work in the future when OpenGL support is added.

I use Windows Server 2008 R2 (with Desktop Experience, DirectX, GPU drivers, etc. installed) and OBS works perfectly.

Ah yes, I think desktop experience is the thing that's required. I'm not entirely sure though. I know that server 2008 doesn't inherently include some specific graphical component that OBS needs, and that it's installed separately, unlike with windows 7 (at least I think that's how it's set up)

I had the same problem (on Windows Server 2008) but I was fix it, contact me if you have still this problem. Now is OBS working perfect.

PS: Sorry for my english
