Seperating voice and desktop audio

So, I am trying to make a geometry dash video but my voice can't be heard because of the music. I had an idea: separate the voice and music then lower the music. But.... I don't know how to do that. so, I tried several tutorials on YouTube, searched on Google, Bing, etc. searched everywhere, but to no avail. Why? because when I tried them, the mic stopped working. I need help :(

It's a common task to lower the music/game audio while you speak, this is called audio ducking. OBS implements this with a special configuration of the compressor audio filter. It uses the volume of one source (the mic) to lower the volume of the source the filter is applied to (the music source).

If recording multi track audio: keep in mind, media players will play back only one track at a time, so you need to switch tracks in the media player to check if there is any audio in every track. No media player will mix multiple audio tracks.

If koala's answer doesn't help, then we'll need some more information. Both that, and my first thought of, "just lower the music fader," both require that things be kept separate until you're done processing them separately. If they're mixed, you can no longer do anything separately, after the mix point.

I think its a better option to split my voice and the gameplay audio since if I get copyrighted I can just pitch shift it (i am using CapCut PC btw)

It doesn't matter if a bot figures you out or not. It's still theft and illegal. We don't support that.

Get specific, written permission for everything that you include, for what you're actually doing with it, and include that permission along with the content. If you can't get that written permission, then don't include the content. Period.
