Question / Help Separate Game audio from Skype & more

Can I borrow the thread real quick..

So, at the moment, I'm using a external Saffire Pro 40 sound interface. My mic is hooked up to it, and so is my headphones. I like it cuz I can easily controll both my mic gain and my headphone volume with physical knobs. It also functions as my main audio drive for both the "desktop sound" and OBS. Meaning that all the pc sound is coming out through the Saffire Pro. I also has it set as the default audio device in OBS. Here's my problem.

When streaming (to twitch), I'm having multiply scenes, just like everyone else. I also have a AFK/BREAK scene, again, like everybody else. But what I want to do is when I select the AFK/BREAK scene, i want the viewers to just hear the music from spotify, not anything else.
I use TS with my friends, so when I'm in game, they can hear spotify, my mic, TS and the game sound. But when I switch to AFK/BREAK, I want the viewers to JUST hear Spotify. AND I want to be able to keep talking in TS. I know that you can do this manually, by changing the output in TS and use different headphones, but there has to be an easier way to fix it? Is there a way to automate it so TS gets muted when I switch to the AFK/BREAK scene? That's all I want. Mute my mic, and mute TS and just have Spotify left. And once I switch back to the lobby or gameplay scene, i want TS and my mic to come back in.

Cry does it in his streams, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it! The only way i know of at the moment, is as I said, go quickly into TS and change the output to something else. But there has to be some better way of doing it. Thank you!

I'm so sorry if this has been discussed before, but I don't have the time to read all 7 pages at the moment.

I'm gonna go straight to the point.

I have a AFK/BREAK screen, and I want to be able to play music from Spotify for the viewers, and talk in TS at the same time, WITHOUT them hearing it. And once I switch back to the gameplay scene, the TS will come back in the stream. In other words, MUTE the TS when i switch to the AFK/BREAK scene. Just like Cry & Russ does in their streams.

I use a Saffire Pro 40 as an audio interface, mic in and headphones out. All my PC sound goes through that shit.

Help please?? <3

I understand that "Speakers" and such don't work - but none of my Virtual Audio Cable Lines work either.

To explain my OBS set up:

I have OBS microphone and speaker volume muted, so my default Mic/Headset windows sound doesn't get streamed via OBS default - instead I have those streamed with the DirectShow plugin's sources as follows

Scenes:
-Game Stream
  1. DirectShow "Microphone" (which is set to headset's Microphone)
  2. DirectShow "Speakers" (which is set to headset's speakers (I realise this doesn't work, as you say in description))
  3. Video Capture (Webcam)
  4. Game Capture
-BRB/AFK screen

  1. DirectShow "Music" (which is set to Virtual Audio Cable Line 2 - foobar is outputting at Virtual Line 2)
  2. AFK image

Very simply, this set up should mean that when I'm streaming a game, my microphone and windows sound should be streamed (I know it doesnt work, will use FFsplit), and when i go AFK, it should not stream my microphone/windows and just play the song played on foobar - the Microphone part works, but neither the Windows output nor the Virtual Audio cable output works.
Any ideas?

The DShow audio plugin will not work for playback devices as stated in the first line of the info page :)
In general I would recommend to set the Microphone and Speakers as normal devices in OBS and activate the per-scene volume plugin to mute them in the scene with music.
In that one scene you can use the dshow audio plugin to add VAC Line2 to the scene, set it to output to stream only and test which of the listed Line 2's is the correct one (recording).
