Question / Help Screen shutters

I can stream just fine. i have no problems with this program other than the screen shutters black for about .5 seconds then back to normal but i cant do anything for like 3-4 seconds after the shutter. if u can help me figure this out anyone i will be more than grateful.

What do you mean by "shutters"? Like, it turns black for the full 0.5 seconds? What kind of content are you capturing? Does it happen to the whole window, or just the content that you are capturing? Does it happen as soon as you open OBS, or not until you start recording?
 
my actual screen basically flashes black for that time, not just the stream, and it just does it after like 10 minutes while im streaming and it randomly does it
 
Make sure your game is running in windowed or borderless windowed mode when you use monitor capture or window capture.
