Question / Help Screen capture is very dark

I used OBS to record some drafts via MTGO and had no issues, then I tried recording a game of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance and I get a very dark output.To clarify this is not a black screen, I can see the game its just like the brightness is turned all the way down. Most of the answers I found when googling this were about the black screen dual video card laptop issue. This is in a desktop PC, I'm running crossfire HD 6970's both factory clocked to 920Mhz. I've updated my drivers yesterday and the issue is still present. Any ideas woud be great.

in the game capture properties, raise gamma to 1.20 to 1.30 is what I usually do.

I tried this, regardless of the gamma setting I use still very dark.

you might have to play with some of the game capture properties, or even attempt to use window capture to see if you get the same result.
