Bug Report SceneTransition.pShader: 2 ERROR after update

Just updated OBS a couple minutes ago, now running 0.638b and whenever trying to preview the stream or actually go live I get the following error then a crash.

CreatePixelShaderFromFile: Couldn't open shaders/SceneTransition.pShader: 2

everything was working fine up until this update. Couldn't find any information on that file anywhere on the internet either. Any ideas?

I was JUST about to post about this. I just updated and got this error/crash. Can't find any past info. on it. I'm going to assume something in the update went wrong. I hope the fix is swift.

Same thing has been happening to me. It was working fine yesterday, and I went to update it today and right after the update I opened it and it gave me the same error message multiple times even after closing and reopening.

Wait. Wait. Wait. I just clicked "Help" and "Check for updates". A message popped up saying there were shader updates.

...

Nope, got a message saying "Update failed: Invalid patch manifest". Wtf guys.

WAIT. Wait. Waaaaait...

...

Restarted OBS and it prompted the shader update again.

...

"Update complete."

Started OBS.

Previewing just fine.

Well there's your fix, kids. Ugh.

Very strange that the first update (auto update on launch) didn't include the shaders. So the fix is as follows.

Click Help > Check for updates > install shader updates > profit

thanks...for some reason, up til literally right now, the shader update was unable to be found. Despite countless restarts.

Sorry about this, we forgot the file in the update and once we added it, the updater didn't like that there was only a single new file to download (Invalid patch manifest). After some tweaking everything is fixed now, if you're still having problems just use Help / Check for updates.
