Hello. I asked what is his program settings, and I set the same (720p, 30fps, 2500kbit).
Next, I streamed his past broadcast video in fullscreen.

The result was that after placing the screenshot in paint in same position (alt+tabed), my quality was less detailed, more darker and produce more blurry/glow.

Below you can see screenshots:

My OBS setup:

How he made his stream more brighter? It is possible with any custom x264 presets?
Thats annoying me.

Thanks for help.!

I'd have to see an OBS log file, because I don't know if you're using any devices or not. If it's a capture device, it depends on the capture device and its settings.

Oh so it's not a capture device? Hm, it says your base resolution is 1280x720. Is your game running at 1280x720 as well? Is that the resolution of your laptop screen? Because it definitely should not experience blurring as long as everything is running at a 1:1 pixel ratio. I'm somewhat confused.

I dont have capture device like AverMedia. I use only OBS software. My laptop screen is 1366x768. I run games in 1366x768, but in OBS I set resolution 720p.

What is interesting...

I downloaded his (streamer) video from Twitch. It is 720p. I opened this movie in Media Player Classic in fullscreen mode and I take screenshot. (So his movie was stretched from 720p to my 768p screen. Next, I pasted it to paint.

Next step, I ran OBS and recorded (attention: now in 768p screen capture, not 720p) same movie in fullscreen mode. I opened movie in MPC in fullscreen and I take screenshot in same frame as previously (to see difference in exactly same frame).

This is puzzling, but my screenshot and his screenshot now was identical, but what is important, his video is 720p, my video is 768p. So he gets the same quality and sharpness by using lower resolution. That's weird.

It is hard to explain, but I think you urdenstand my explanation, and you will help me.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate your help.

EDIT:

Now I set ingame resolution from 1366x768 to 1280x720 and now is perfect stream quality, as you said it is 1:1. It's weird, becouse in OBS when you set 1920x1080 resolution you can downsize to 720p with Lanczos. But when you set it to 1366x768 you cant downsize to 720p but something lower value like 6xxp.

OBS 720p, ingame 1366x768 ---> http://screenshu.com/static/uploads/temporary/ge/an/uo/bpkoe6.jpg
OBS 720p, ingame 1280x720 --->

EDIT2:

Weird. When I stream my desktop (1366x768), to better quality, in OBS I must set 1368x768 (not 1366). Below you can see differece.

OBS res 1366x768 ---> http://screenshu.com/static/uploads/temporary/t6/3w/tw/ajjlgz.jpg

It doesn't have to be 720. Just set it to the 1:1, and stream with it if possible, for best quality
