Question / Help Running OBS in a VM

Just as the title asks, would it be possible to run OBS in a Virtual Machine? and how well do you think it would work?

If it ran at all, it would run very poorly, because OBS needs access to low-level graphics capabilities. It also makes heavy use of the CPU. Overall, it would be a really bad idea.

so stick with the linux download?

If you can get it to work, yes, that would be better than running OBS in a VM.

Besides, even if you could get OBS running the VM, you couldn't capture anything outside the VM.

Could I get it to work on PlayLinux or Wine?

Even if I dedicated a lot of the processor and Ram it wouldn't work in a virtual box?

Most likely no.

I mean, you can try it if you want, but I would personally never waste my time trying.
