Question / Help Roxio Game Capture Help

Hello! I am new to streaming and I was told to use OBS and so far no complaints...with OBS. Everything was great getting set up but then my Roxio would get way too loud, the sound became distorted on my stream to the point where it was unbearable. I tried to turn it down from OBS, my volume mixer and through the Roxio itself but no results. I don't know what to do about it. Is there anyway to fix it? or is it a lost cause and I should go ahead and buy a new one? Anyone who could help me out with this problem I would be forever grateful.

Always verify 100% that it's the hardware to blame before buying a replacement. I can't help but to doubt that it's faulty hardware. Perhaps the sound is just echoing? Could we hear an example of this somehow, maybe link us to a vod or something? I really doubt it's a hardware issue, in fact I bet it's just a settings mishap somewhere.

Twitch.tv/fm_sal if you go to the last few videos titled "You can't stop the blacklist!" you will see how it sounds like speakers are being pushed to the limit, especially the most recent videos.

I did hear it, and it does sound quite wrong. It wasn't what I was expecting either. Could you post a log file as well?

Seems you're using virtual audio cable, and that you're also capturing your roxio audio via the mic channel rather than in the properties of the roxio itself. I'm not sure if either of those are to blame, but I'd say it could be likely. I would recommend turning off VAC temporarily, and then routing the roxio sound through the device's source properties to make sure it's not that.

Also I have no idea how you got the roxio to work directly with OBS, they usually don't work directly. Must be a model I haven't seen before.
