I have the PS3 video going into my Avermedia Live Gamer HD Lite via HDMI;
PS3 audio goes into my PC's line in.
Playing in game is perfect with no lag (the sound comes out through the PC speakers somehow, but I'm not sure how I made that work), but the guitar on the recording does this:

Here's the log, I'm not sure what to make of the audio timestamp delay or the high number of unaccounted threads:
Anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?

PS Forgot to add, the HDMI ouput is split using a splitter - one goes to my monitor, another goes into the Avermedia card in my PC... but this shouldn't have any effect on the sound?
