Question / Help Resolution problem

Hi, I am having troubles getting a resolution to work with Avermedia Live Gamer HD and obs.
My desktop resolution is 1920x1080 and I am trying to stream at 1280x720. When the stream is on I can see my desktop clearly but when I open up my game running at a resolution of 1024x768 my screen just turns black.

Is there any work around for this?
 
I actually figured it out by playing with the settings, I need to change my desktop resolution to 1024x768 and LGHD custom resolution to 1024x768. Is there anyway to make it fullscreen to remove the blackbars on the side? I've played around with the size but it keeps getting cut off.
