Question / Help Removing audio source from mixer?

When I added my cam to my OBS-MP, the cam's mic got added to the mixer. I've had the cam's mic disabled for about 2 months and I don't know why it's in the mixer at all.

Is there any way I can remove it?

OBS Studio itself adds any device as is (application doesn't know: you wanna use cam only or only mic or both devices - for USB they exist as separate devices but uses one hub and share one line).

As I know, now you are only able to mute that mic(or any) by clicking 'speaker' icon in mixer's list (icon turns red). Also, you may exclude it from all tracks in OBS's mixer (not from list).

But I can control both devices via hotkeys - visibility and mute, separately, of course. It is flexible control - to keep devices in tracks (and mute) or exclude from the tracks.

Maybe we needed 'mute' icon doubled in 'Advanced Audio Properties', or greyed source if it muted (with hint, just in case: remember, it muted in Mixer list). It will be much better, I think so.

Well the option to mute the source will still be present. But people that add several Cameras or Capture Cards will have a mixer with several muted devices all the time.
If they never use the audio part of their devices, they could deactivate the audio (similar to OBS classic) and it would remove the device from the audio mixer. Default for capture cards/webcams should be enabled audio of course.

The idea is good itself, but the way it provided - I don't like it. If I don't wanna use video and wanna use mic only? The program by default uses the same way and controls to manage any device. You are exclude audio source from the Mixer list, but leave video source in Sources list?

Edit: Just in case - I broke my camera lens, but mic working just fine :)

If you just want the audio device to not show in the mixer, make sure it is muted and then right click and Hide.

There's a source that keeps coming up for a mic I got rid of ages ago, I've uninstalled and clean installed OBS and that keeps coming up, I want to delete it altogether, not keep hiding it every time...
