Remote OBS via Virtual Private Server (VPS)?

Howdy!

I have streamer bot on a different network running Windows Server. Is there a way to get my OBS and my Chatbot hosted on the server to talk to each other?

I have been playing around with ZeroTier and Tailscale but unable to connect both machines (did indeed do port and allow 4455 port etc)

Anyone happen to have experience with ZeroTier/Tailscale or any similar alternative?

Wasn't much they could do as Streamer.bot connects to OBS without any issues and is fine.

It's more getting two systems to connect via obs's websocket. I'm assuming its Firewall or something stopping them talking to each other so considered ZeroTier/Tailscale to do this in a safer way but no luck so far.
