Question / Help Reign of Kings, FPS drops in OBS

Hello I am having issues with OBS regarding Reign of Kings. It seems to get extremely laggy even on low setting while using OBS.

The FPS on OBS doesn't stay locked at 30 like it does with other games and I can't figure out why. I tested through all my current games I Stream and it stayed locked at 30 FPS.

I noticed if I turned off my Cam and unchecked 'disabled Aero' with OBS, The FPS improved a good amount, But it still jumped around from 20 - 30 frequently.

Also would like to note that I've been playing around with my setting quite a bit in OBS. So if you see anything that looks off please don't be afraid to let me know. I'm always for improving my broadcasting quality obviously.

Using a window capture source with Aero disabled will hose your performance in Windows 7. Enable Aero.

Okay so, Don't have the 'disable Aero' box checked? Uncheck it?

That checkbox is only for turning Aero off when you launch OBS. If Aero is already turned off then it won't turn it back on for you. If unchecking the box doesn't turn Aero back on you can refer to http://en.kioskea.net/faq/30281-how-to-rapidly-enable-or-disable-aero-under-windows-7

Just tested it with aero unchecked. The FPS on OBS stayed at 30 FPS the entire time on a full populated server for Reign of Kings.

I did turn on my webcam and set that up after and I was dropping to about 27-28 FPS than back to 30.. So the Cam is a issue.

I just realized that you're also running SLI. OBS is likely only capturing half of the frames with that setup, try disabling SLI and see if that works better. You could also try OBS Multiplatform as it has an SLI compatibility option that might work - https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/releases
